Mid-Century Floating Top Desk by Hooker (Delivery Available) in Yonkers, New York

The "MAINLINE" Series by Hooker was produced between 1950-1960 and featured an exquisite take on Danish design. The desk is made from a mix of solid walnut and walnut veneer over a hardwood base. Besides being well made, they featured the "FLOATING TOPS". The top is cantilevered to create a unique form. This model also has a curved top which makes it even more desirable. Since its finished on both sides, it can be placed in the middle of the room. Note, there's some wear and the right cabinet edge was chewed by a dog. Worth at least 3x more in pristine condition. Consider restoring or use it as-is. Pictures 2, 3 and 4 are not of actual piece.
